Jolissa "Jolie" Evans is a licensed haircare professional from Chicago, Illinois.
She had her start in her sister's salon at the age of 15, where she learned the basis of hair care and customer service through the mentorship of the master stylists around her. From there, she completed high school, then 2 years of college at the University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in magazine journalism. Upon completing those 2 years, she realized her real passion was for the beauty industry and she transferred to Truman College's cosmetology program. She graduated from there and attained her license in 2009.
Since then, she has branded herself as a master stylist and colorist, perfecting her craft by taking classes and constantly researching. She has competed and placed in more than 5 hair competitions. She has done work for renowned companies such as ORS, Black Hair Sophisticates Magazine and Vitale Pro. She specializes in color, natural hair, cuts, extensions and overall health of the hair and scalp. Currently, she works as a master stylist at a hair spa in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.
